We started from Surlaspur and crossed Shandhur till a village called Teru. From Teru we got a jeep and had no plans to stop at Phandar. When jeep reached the top, the view was mesmerizing. It took us few minutes and few miles to decide about stopping. Once we decided we had already descended few kms. The Jeep dropped us there and we had to walk back to the top, very tiring. Once we reached the rest house we were told that there was no water. We again went down to river to fetch water.

Mahodand Lake. Jeeps with turbo engine and chains on the tyres can get you there. I have been to Shugran during winters and it's quite an adventure to go out there in snow days.
